SENATE RESOLUTION 41

 Recognizing West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health for its outstanding contributions to the health care workforce development in West Virginia.

Whereas, West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health has served the State of West Virginia since 2011; and

Whereas, West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health was created to serve communities and students to cultivate the health and wellbeing of rural West Virginians; and

Whereas, West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health offers opportunities for students to positively impact rural communities in West Virginia; and

Whereas, West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health collaborates to support professional development opportunities for rural health professionals; and 

Whereas, West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health offers multiple financial incentive programs to support the recruitment and retention of health professions students in rural communities; and

Whereas, West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health has been involved in the preparation of countless health professions students to serve rural West Virginia; therefore, be it 

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby recognizes West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health for its outstanding contributions to the health care workforce development in West Virginia; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Senate recognizes the 15-year commitment of West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health to support rural health throughout West Virginia; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the West Virginia University Institute for Community and Rural Health.
