SENATE RESOLUTION 8

Congratulating Anthony “Tony” Deal on being named Agent of the Year.

Whereas, Anthony “Tony” Deal is a distinguished native of Kingwood, West Virginia, whose leadership and service have had a lasting impact on the insurance industry and his community; and

Whereas, Tony Deal began his career with Insurance Centers in 2001 as controller, demonstrating exceptional financial acumen, work ethic, and dedication from the outset; and

Whereas, Throughout his tenure, Tony Deal has served in multiple key leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, contributing immeasurably to the company’s growth, stability, and success; and

Whereas, In 2016, Tony Deal became Chief Executive Officer and President, and now serves as the principal of the agency, continuing to lead with integrity, vision, and a commitment to excellence in service to clients throughout West Virginia; and

Whereas, Tony Deal is a proud graduate of West Virginia University, holding a degree in business administration, with the knowledge and skill contributing significantly to his professional achievements; and

Whereas, Tony Deal honorably served the United States as a member of the U.S. Army, demonstrating courage, discipline, and devotion to duty; values that continue to guide him in his professional and personal life; and

Whereas, Tony Deal also serves the insurance industry statewide as vice president of the Independent Insurance Agents of West Virginia (Big I WV), representing the independent agency system and championing the professionalism, advocacy, and service that strengthen agents and consumers throughout the Mountain State; and

Whereas, Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tony Deal is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his loved ones and supporting local youth sports, investing in the next generation of West Virginians; and

Whereas, The Senate recognizes individuals such as Tony Deal, whose exemplary service, character, and leadership strengthen both the insurance profession and communities across the Mountain State; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby congratulates Anthony “Tony” Deal on being named Agent of the Year; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Senate hereby recognizes Tony Deal for his outstanding contributions to the insurance industry; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Anthony “Tony” Deal.
